A series of activities for the 30th anniversary of the friendship between Guangzhou and Lyon. A special performance of Pierre and the Wolf musical in Times Rose Garden Primary School.

Participation is an extremely important link for children to know, understand and accept one thing.

Interest has always been the best teacher. It is far more important to lead children with truth and action than to preach. Parents should learn to give their children time to think and let them change from passive acceptance to active choice so as to fully explore their children's inner potential.

On October 30, Times Rose Garden Primary School ushered in a series of activities for the 30th anniversary of the friendship between Guangzhou and Lyon. It was the second stop of children’s musical Pierre and the Wolf jointly held by the French "Hot Finger Troupe", Guangzhou Children's Palace and Times Rose Garden Primary School.

Witness of Sino-French Friendship and Messenger of Interaction and Integration

Communication, respect and integration are the main themes of “Times and You” series of activities for the 30th anniversary of the friendship between Guangzhou and Lyon.

On October 28, the musical Pierre and the Wolf and the workshop first arrived at Guangzhou Children's Palace. Students from Times Rose Garden Primary School also participated in the performance.

On October 30, the “wolf”, representing the friendship between China and France, came to the Times Rose Garden Primary School and interacted with the children of Guangzhou Children's Palace and Times Rose Garden Primary School to decorate the school hall into a vibrant and dangerous prairie.

For the children, this opportunity to get close to each other and participate in interactive musicals is precious. More importantly, representatives of the students of Times Rose Garden Primary School would also participate in this friendly exchange activity throughout the process to carry a message of friendship and exchange on behalf of Guangzhou.

Saxophone Workshop, participating to feel the charm of music

Three saxophonists from French Hot Finger Troupe also held a saxophone and body percussion workshop with over 30 primary school students, bringing about a French musical interaction.

Under the guidance of saxophone music, children fellow the beat of music and beat with their bodies to complete the music together with artists.

On the scene, the children also conducted improvisational performance with Acapalla vocal choruses, which allowed them to feel the music, participate in the music, and discover the charm of music.

Stage without boundary. A special interactive musical

Different from ordinary musicals, the musical Pierre and the Wolf attached more attention to children's participation and interaction. There was no stage boundary on the scene. The stage and the audience were merged into a troupe to participate in the musical performance.

Three French saxophonists depicted each character in the story through saxophones of high, middle and low tones. Meanwhile, students imitated various roles in the forest through body percussion and vocalization.

In the wonderful music world of Pierre and the Wolf, the actors and students defeated the wolf coveting the small farmers in the farm, gaining an invaluable friendship.

While the wolf was chasing its prey, the children couldn't help stamping their feet nervously. They hummed the interesting melody of the musical, and interacted with the actors on stage frequently. The performance was full of joy, as if they were really in the forest.

Participation is as simple as that

Children are often more responsible for what they are involved in. If parents give more trust and "freedom", it is believed that children are likely to act more trustworthy.

Instead of lamenting that children are not self-conscious in their studies and generous in their dealings with others and dare not speak to foreigners, we may consider whether we have provided enough sunshine, air and water for them.
